📌 Position & Opportunity Overview

The Fern Residency Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, is currently conducting an urgent recruitment drive for entry-level kitchen professionals. We are seeking dedicated candidates to fill four specific openings: one Continental + Pentry Commis, two Halwai Commis, and two Indian Commis 2 roles. Additionally, we require two Kitchen Stewards (K.S.T) to support daily operations. This is an immediate-join opportunity for candidates looking to build a career in a reputable hotel environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Operations

• Continental + Pentry Commis: Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing continental dishes, maintaining pentry hygiene, managing inventory of dry and wet ingredients, and ensuring the prep station is organized and clean at all times.
• Halwai Commis: Support the Halwai Chef in preparing traditional Indian sweets and desserts, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Maintain strict hygiene standards in the sweet-making section.
• Indian Commis 2: Work under the supervision of the Indian Chef to prepare regional Indian dishes, handle basic cooking tasks, and ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Kitchen Stewards (K.S.T): Responsible for washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, maintaining floor hygiene, and managing waste disposal to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.

🌟 Required Skills, Specialities & Candidate Preferences

• Proven experience in hotel kitchens, preferably in similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during service hours.
• For Halwai roles, familiarity with traditional Indian sweet-making techniques is essential.
• For Continental roles, basic understanding of Western cuisine preparation and pentry management.
• Kitchen Stewards must be physically fit and capable of performing repetitive cleaning tasks efficiently.
