Bengali Chef, Housekeeping Staff & Stewards

📌 Position & Opportunity Overview

An urgent hiring drive is underway for a hospitality establishment in the Kolkata region, specifically covering the New Town and Ballygunge localities. The team is seeking immediate joiners to fill critical operational gaps across culinary, housekeeping, and utility departments. This is a multi-role requisition requiring one specialized chef and a combined team of eight support staff members to ensure smooth daily operations.

🎯 Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Operations

• Bengali Chef (1 Position)*
• Prepare authentic Bengali dishes including fish curries, vegetable preparations, and traditional sweets or snacks as per the menu.
• Manage kitchen hygiene, inventory of raw materials, and portion control to minimize waste.
• Coordinate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service and consistent quality.

• Housekeeping / KST (4 Positions)*
• Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Change linens, replenish amenities, and report any maintenance issues or damages immediately.
• Ensure all assigned areas are spotless and ready for inspection or guest arrival.

• Stewards (4 Positions)*
• Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, cookware, and glassware after each service.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen floor, sinks, and storage areas.
• Assist in the unloading of supplies and proper storage of cleaned items.

🌟 Required Skills, Specialities & Candidate Preferences

• Chef: Proven expertise in Bengali cuisine is mandatory. Experience in a similar high-volume or hotel environment is preferred. Immediate availability is highly valued.
• Housekeeping: Strong attention to detail, physical stamina for standing and bending, and a clean personal appearance. Experience in hotel or resort housekeeping is a plus.
• Stewards: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, knowledge of chemical safety for cleaning agents, and reliability.
• All candidates must be willing to work in shifts as per the establishment's operational schedule.
