Get ready to indulge in a rich, creamy Hazelnutter Chocolate Spread, inspired by Panner's popular product, but with a healthier, Indian-friendly twist! As Sunita Devi, a Rajasthani/Indian kitchen matriarch with 50 years of experience, I'm excited to share this recipe that replaces processed ingredients with wholesome, natural alternatives. Traditional Hazelnutter Chocolate Spreads are often high in refined sugar, unhealthy fats, and artificial additives. Our version uses desi coconut sugar, nutritious hazelnuts, and dark cocoa powder to create a deliciously healthy spread that's perfect for snacking, baking, or as a topping for your favorite Indian dishes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned.
Allow the roasted hazelnuts to cool completely. Then, grind them into a fine powder using a blender or food processor.
In a separate bowl, mix together the coconut sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
In a blender or food processor, combine the ground hazelnuts, cocoa mixture, and coconut oil. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Add the vanilla extract and blend until well combined.
